Volunteers recently collaborated with the Army Flying Museum at Middle Wallop in making ‘Ruperts’, the imitation paratroopers used in the prelude to D Day and intended to confuse the enemy.

Ruperts from a number of makers have ended up in their museum, including those above, which include those made here by Linda Robson and Barbara Martin.

The Army Flying Museum has an interesting timeline of events involving one of the gliders which landed in France at 3.10am on 6 June. You can read it on their website
