The World War II Dorset Regiment Camp, Colin Murray in command, visited at the weekend, and we look forward to meeting them again at the Festival of Archaeology, 21 and 22 July.
A superb collection of WWII militaria, including an array of weaponry, was enjoyed by many, including Volunteers Sandra Gale, Chris Frost and Mags Kirby. Soldier Chris Penny watches carefully!
Volunteer Ann Hopkins was painting, inspired by Henry Lamb, using pen and water colour to quickly capture the activities of those around her. Watching her at work was a real treat.
Also in attendance was AFPU, Army Film and Photographic Unit re-enactors whose collection based on the recording work of the Army in WWII was particularly interesting.
